Kenneth Vawter

Science Instructor

Mr. Vawter is a graduate of the University of Utah. He has more than 100 hours of post graduate education in science. Mr. Vawter has attended more than 13 universities where he has received additional credit and participated in numerous research projects. In 1994 Mr. Vawter received a Woodrow Wilson Fellowship where he was exposed to the research of the Human Genome Project at Princeton University. He joined the faculty at UMA our first year. He teaches Chemistry and Biology as well as AP classes in both of those subjects. Mr. Vawter is passionate about fitness and has gone above and beyond to get a weight room with equipment for our cadets. His other passion is baseball. He started the baseball program here at UMA and has continued to make our cadets into an amazing team.
