Maj Kit K Workman is one of the founders of the Utah Military Academy. As the Commandant of Cadets, he is responsible for the oversite of the military functions of the school and the overall activities. He attended Brigham Young University on an AFROTC Scholarship. He graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. After graduation he attended Helicopter Flight Training at Ft Rucker, Alabama. During his Air Force Career, he served as a combat rescue helicopter flight examiner and a combat camera officer. His assignments beside Ft Rucker included Kirkland AFB, NM; Hill AFB, UT; Andrews AFB, MD twice including a tour at the Pentagon; Indian Spring AFS, NV; and Vandenberg AFB, CA. When he retired, he was serving as the Chief of Visual Information for HQ Air National Guard.Upon retirement from the Air Force, he served for 19 years as the Senior Aerospace Instructor for the AFJROTC program at Clearfield High School. While there he oversaw numerous teams to state and national championships in Drill, Air Rifle Marksmanship, Ranger Fitness Challenges, and Cyber. In his military service and post service activities, Maj Workman has been active in a variety of activities including scouting, education, youth sports, the Air Force Association, and the American Legion. He has earned numerous awards for his involvement. He is married to the former Jill Ransom. They have three children, Candice, Kris, and Justin, and five grandchildren.
